Our founder, a 23-year law enforcement veteran, was last to leave the scene of a suicide. He was asked by a grieving mother who would be handling the cleanup? He was heartbroken to share the news with her that she would be responsible for the cleanup. This experience left a lasting impression. Upon retirement, he planned to do something to help families like this grieving mother. BioTechs Crime was one of the first crime scene, biohazard, and suicide cleanup companies of its kind in Texas 18 years ago. Since that time, our 4 locations have been called in to help with some of the most tragic incidents in Texas history.

Because Every Life Is Special

Both David and Roxanne know first hand what it’s like to lose a loved one both tragically and unexpectedly. Several years ago David’s cousin had committed suicide. The family assigned David with the task of cleaning up the aftermath.

After interviewing multiple companies, David and Roxanne quickly learned that none of the crime scene cleanup companies that they contacted had any sympathy for the tragedy sitting in the next room. To those companies, it was strictly a business transaction. They treated David’s cousin less like a human being, and more like toxic waste. Out of desperation, David reached out to a Police Officer buddy who recommended BioTech Crime Scene Cleanup.

David and Roxanne loved everything that BioTechs stood for. They were compassionate, and sensitive towards the family’s well-being. BioTechs treated David and Roxanne and their loved ones like family. This was what they were hoping for from the very beginning.

After going through the stress of this unfortunate event, and seeing the stark difference in how they were treated during this entire ordeal, David and Roxanne decided to work with BioTechs. Today they own and operate the BioTechs Houston location to help others in the community who find themselves in similar situations.

“My family had a terrible loss, when my brother-in-law took his life in the back garage of my sister’s house. I remember receiving the call to come over, all I knew was I had to do everything I could to stay calm and handle the situation. I was one of the first to arrive and I couldn’t believe the scene, it was unbearable and I all thought about was I need to protect my sister and my niece from seeing the area. Right away I remembered learning about BioTechs from a friend who was like family. I immediately called and said I needed someone out there as soon as possible. Next thing I knew Audrey with BioTechs was there and she was so compassionate, all she was worried about was keeping my family safe and not anywhere near the scene.
